Abstract
	The grup of high - strength low - alloy constructional steels represents the bread possibilities for construction of machines and equipment working at varying conditions. Increasing of life - time and reliability of machinery  parts  made from these steels is the primary role of their producers.
	Among products that solve also the problems of short life - time (e. g. the great wear of pipe - lines ) belongs the steel from the groups of high - strength steels)  with yield strength  Re over 700 MPa   from VSˇ OCE¼  s.r.o. production.
	The aim of this contribution is to analyse the properties of hot - rolled steel sheets with high yield strength and ultimate tensile strength, and on basis of these properties of their utilization in machinery  practice.
