Abstract This paper describes the importance and method of the correction of raw experimental data. Such raw data do not reflect the losses of the leached element due to the sampling, the change (decrease) of the volume of leaching media due to the sampling and the change (decrease) of the volume of leaching media due to its evaporation at higher experimental temperatures. The overlooking of these facts may lead to the misinterpretation of the fundamental kinetic parameters. Although the above corrections of the raw experimental data are trivial from the mathematical point of view, they are laborious and tedious. Moreover, in the case of extensive data sets, the corrections performed manually might be easily influenced by the mistakes. All of the above disadvantages are solved using computer program Korekcia ver. 1.0 which was developed especially for this purpose. The user friendly, menu driven program is capable to execute the correction of up to five independent elements and hundreds of experimental points in the single run. The output of the program is redirected into the external ASCII file which is easily accepted by any other applications like Microsoft Word, Excel etc. The Slovak version of Korekcia program is a property of the R. Kammel foundation and it is available on request (e-mail: rkf@hfnov.tuke.sk).
