SOLUTION OF WIRE ROPE NET FOR SAFETY PLATFORMS BY FINITE ELEMENT METHOD
Abstract
Solving problems connected with the steel wire ropes damaging depends on knowing this phenomenon. Acquiring the knowledge on this phenomena if is possible to be gained either by experimental research or by numerical model, which enables to determine the distribution of stress and strain in wire ropes. In the beginning there was created model of cable section of protective cable net platform and determinate its dynamic load. Further there was effected an appreciation of parameters of wire ropes. The paper starts by defining the concrete problem, modeling the boundary model conditions and continues determining stress-strain states in the steel wire ropes, by finite element method in program Cosmos/M and compering the results with strength and capacity conditions. The model was administrated for fixed cable net, which was suggested for estimate project of safety cable net without floor.
