CREATION OF MICROGEOMETRY COLD ROLLING STRIP OF MATERIAL ST 15
Abstract
This article presents the basic microgeometry characteristics and technique preparation of work rolls. The ideal surface texture is one that has suitable surface topographical characteristics, ie, an appropriate average roughness (Ra), peak count (Pc) and crater shape that provides good formability and also a good appearance after painting. Roughening of work rolls put into practice through the Electric Discharge Texturing (EDT) on values of roughness rolls of 2,5 and 4 ?m, respectively. Electric discharge texturing is a highly controllable process that produces an improved product surface quality. The surface characteristics are created in dielectric solution by using spark erosion processes. The experiment was used on bating strip St 15. Microgeometry parameters of Ra and Pc were measured with equipment Hommel Tester T1000. Values are obtained by measuring surfaces of both side strips on moonlets. Moonlets are obtained after smoothing. The places, each of which the moonlet are obtained, are situated at the end of coil. Terms of customers on surface of the strip were satisfied. By means the EDT technology is possible prepared surface topographical characteristics of work rolls for four-stand mill (4ST) and for the smoothing 4 high rolling stand (HK) in the range of 1,9 - 4 ?m.
