INFLUENCE OF TECHNOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF T57CA TIN PLATE PRODUCTION ON ITS FINAL PROPERTIES
Abstract
This paper deals with present knowledge about production technology of T57CA tin plate in the real production process. This grade is used to produce simple drawn cans. In the experiment part are specified the measuring methods of mechanical properties for this material. In this work are followed the influence of the chemical composition of material from two casts, speed and the temperature of the strip during continual annealing, influence of temper rolling force and elongation by single reduction and the effect of flow-melting at tinning process on the mechanical properties of the material. Chemical composition of steel according to cast analysis No. 1 was: C 0,037%, Mn 0,241%, P 0,009%, S 0,005%, Al 0,036%, N 0,002%, B 0,005%. Chemical composition of steel according to cast analysis No. 2 was: C 0,027%, Mn 0,237%, P 0,006%, S 0,004%, Al 0,031%, N 0,005%, B 0,0045%. Speed of the strip during continual annealing were measured in interval from 250m/min to 300m/min. Material was heated up on 720°C and temperatures of furnace in particular zones were in interval from 790°C to 805°C. Followed speed cooling of the strip to temperature 450°C per 3 seconds, controlled cooling of the strip. Loss of strip temperature by this process was in distillation range to 1°C. Next the material passed across the overaging section during cca 60 seconds by temperature 450°C. End of operation of continual annealing was characterised by conclusive cooling of the strip on temperature 120°C. Elongation of the strip by single reduction was total in interval from 0,5% to 0,6% on both rolls. Average values of rolling force on first rolling stand were in interval from 2550 to 3600 kN, on second in interval from 1800 to 2500 kN. Melting of tin layer at tinning process was realised on temperature 260°C. Experiments were realised by static tensile test and mechanical properties of material were evaluated from it. In the summary are presented the recommendations for individual parameters in the production process.
