THE EFFECT OF LOSS OF STEEL AND THICKNESS OF SCALE LAYER ON THE SCALE ADHESION FOR CONSTANT VALUE EXCESS COMBUSTION RATIO |
Abstract
In the process of heating steel before plastic working, in addition to heat exchange-related processes, the processes of chemical interaction also occur between the furnace atmosphere and the surface of the steel being heated. As a result of oxidation, scale forms. An important aspects in conducted testings for scale adhesion be effect scale quantity for scale adhesion. The thickness of scale layer forms on the steel surface it could be the index of scale quantity. Selections results of the measurements and calculations of scale adhesion and scale quantity in this article provided. The paper presents the application to qualifications of influence of loss of steel and thickness of scale layer for the scale adhesion.
