SLAG MELTING TEMPERATURE IN A TUNDISH
Abstract
The more advanced demands are laying on the steel sheet determined for surface treatment by enameling then on alike sheet assigned on the production of components by deep drawing e.g. automotive body parts. These demands have often contradictory nature. In order the sheet to dispose with high value of plasticity it must have defined structure,  substructure and texture and must be high-clean. These properties are needed equally for enameled sheets, because in most cases the enameled products are producing by pressing at severe condition of deep drawing (bathtub). On the other hand demands on indefectible enameling, concerning especially fish scales, from the viewpoint of structure and substructure are contradictory. It is better, when the sheet is contaminated by non-metallic inclusions or by second phase particles. This quandary - option ability between the two adverse possibilities – is the task and call appeal for contemporary researchers at development of steels for demanding sheet-metal pressing with next surface enamelling.
The classical technological processes of hydrogen traps preparation for prevention of surface defect formation (fish scales) are described , as well as advanced one, on the basis of sulfidic precipitation, that can be utilize at the production of IF steel sheets for surface treatment by porcelain enameling. Hydrogen traps as the second phase particles are observed and analyzed by light a electron microscopy.
The HYPERM method accuracy for measurement of atomic hydrogen permeability i.e. unresistance to the fish scales formation is verificated in this work. The linear relationship was determined between the measured values of the inclusions number on the samples section by means of scanning electron microscope and the values of hydrogen permeability by HYPERM.
