INFLUENCE OF OPERATING FACTORS ON PROPERTIES OF FURAN MIXTURES
Abstract
Foundry mould (core) specifies not only dimensional accurate shape of the future casting, but also in important rate participates on surface quality and also has great importance on inner quality. From the historical study of foundry industry results, that first moulds were probably from blown clay or from easily processable stone.
Development of moulding materials achieved, paticularly after world war, considerable development. Attention is focused on single-shot mould which represent the main volume from total foundry production. Into this area we can assign also the sand cores. Development of moulding mixers is always connected with the development of whole technology of mould and core production. Determinative standing has the binding system and from this point of view we can divide the moulding mixtures into four generations.
Today, forming into the moulding mixtures have important role and therefore it is needed to pay attention on its properties in order to increase the quality of produced castings, mainly the heavy ones and also to decrease the costs and ecology of its utilization.
