SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM WITH BUYING UP USED CARDBOARD PACKS BY CREATING A SOCIAL COMPANY FOR PROCESSING CARDBOARDS FOR FUEL BRIQUETTE AND GRANULE
Abstract
During the last year the situation in collecting paper and cardboard changed a lot. The price of paper felt to only 30% of earlier value. Even worse situation is with cardboard. For recycling cardboard it is needed to pay a charge. Nowadays it is not profitable to collect these material and this is why we concentrate in this paper on one of the methods of using paper as a fuel. Because of decline of call for collecting paper as secondary material, district office Bardejov are solving this problem by creating a social company for processing cardboards for fuel briquette and granule. Biomass, wooden waste and waste collecting paper are perfect material for quality calorific and clean fuel - briquettes and granules. It is explained in this paper how the social company arise and the form of support of project from gouverment projects. One of typical gouverment projects is social company, for reaching better economical effect . At the end of article it is compared profitability of these fuel. Of course the advantage of mentioned briquettes and granules is their origin – they are renewable source of energy. The comparison was based on results of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague which made a combustion tests for fuels of waste paper last year. Tested were paper briquettes (mixture of newspaper, magazines, cardboards, leaflets). Those results showed that emission factors of briquettes on paper base are very similar and in some aspects even better then wooden briquettes The another positive facts is also that there will be a cogeneration power station launched in November in Bardejov. The power station would after agreement with producer take all the production of briquettes and granules. Its minimal daily consumption is 1500 m3 chop firewood , so paper briquettes can be suitable dash to chop firewood .
