INFLUENCE OF DEFORMATION PROCESSING ON STRUCTUREAND PROPERTIES DEVELOPMENT OF AlMgSi ALLOY
Abstract
Effect of hot and cold plastic deformations on course of recrystallization annealing process for continual casting AlMgSi1 alloy was analyzed. The first hot deformation at 500°C was performed in order to breake off the as-cast structure. Upsetting and spreading were chosen to carry out the hot deformation regimes. Cold deformations incuded upsetting and direct extrusion, for those resort recrystallization annealing, were realized after hot deformation. The recrystallization course of deform structure was controlled by temperature and annealing time. The samples after heat treatment were processed by severe plastic deformations ( SPD) in equal-channel angular pressing ( ECAP) die as well. Intensity of severe plastic deformations was determined by number of passes realized in ECAP die. The results of metallographic analyses shown, that final recrystallized structure and her achievement homogenity in cross section are depended on step deformation applicated to billet as-cast structure and on the distribution mode of intermetallic phases in matrix. The results on experimental works confirmed, that homogeneous recrystallized structure through out speciment volume is strongly limited by extend of breaking off as-cast structure by severe plastic deformation introduction. The best results on transformation of bars as-cast structure were achieved by recrystallization when only cold direct extrusion was realized. In case of ECAP deformation the homogeneous recrystallized structure was achieved in specimen if number of passes was equal or higher of 3. This number of pass respond to strain ? =6,8.
