BRIEF COMPARISON OF AIR PROTECTION LEGISLATION IN EUROPEAN COMMUNITY, SLOVAK, POLAND AND HUNGARY REPUBLICS
Abstract
The environmental law of air protection is developing especially in the last ten years. Although the most of advanced countries prefer national environmental legislation in air protection ( e.g. emission limit values for industrial sources of air pollution , finding methods of emission limit values and its observation ), it is possible to find some common components of air protection legislation in many countries. It is typical for European Community states. Its legislation results from EU directions and regulations. Transposition or implementation process of EU legal acts phase in legal order of associated countries.
This article briefly describes the current situation in air protection law in European Community, Slovak, Poland and Hungary Republics, as well as the legal acts valid in these countries. Based on its study, the national legislations are compared with the EU law. The paper also deals with the emission limit values for new sources in coal combustion and present the emission limit values comparison. The goal of contribution is allowing the readers to create their own vision about it, where are the countries in air protection situated.
