ANALYSIS OF BLACK PLATE ANNEALING PROCESS AT CONTINUOUS ANNEALING LINE APPLYING MATHEMATICAL MODEL
Abstract
In the paper authors deal with problems of black plate annealing process mathematical modelling for tinplate production at the continuous annealing line.
The presented mathematical model is based on the annealing line geometric characteristics, plate motion course and processes of heat transfer. It is able to simulate wide range of the line outputs for various widths and thickness of the annealed material.
Applying the model it is possible to evaluate the facility thermal work through the combustion process analysis and annealing process balancing.
Using the mathematical model with aim to analyse the continuous annealing line production capacity from thermo-technical point of view simulations have been realised to estimate the specific fuel consumption required for material heating up to the annealing temperature for various thickness and widths of the strip.
As the fuel combustion process influences the uniformity of the temperature field distribution along the heating chamber height and width another simulations have been focused on determination of the combustion air excess impact on the specific heat consumption.
